what would you ladies do?

So I wanted to wait to share my happy news with extended family and most of my friends u til after my first trimester. My mom on the other hand who is so excited to be a grandma for the first time, has blabbed to everyone at her work. While I understand her excitement I want to wait to spread the news. Whenever I bring up waiting for another 3 weeks she gets angry and tells me I worry too much. Honestly I've been a lot less worried since I saw the baby and heard the heartbeat. I'm actually doing well with my worries. What would you ladies do? Or have done to help your family keep the news to themselves for a while?

I've told my mom, hubbys mom, and 2 or 3 close friends and that is it. I am very hopeful, but since I have miscarried in the past, I am sticking firm on waiting until 13 weeks

I told my mom not to tell anyone cause of my past losses.  She told people who need to know know. But I'm happy with her i wanted people to find out by see and asking for themselves.  Work is different I'm 20 weeks now and slowly everybody is picking up on I'm one of the preggos...lol

I made my mom do the same thing. I didn't want to tell anyone (except really close family) that I was expecting until 13 weeks. My mom would ask me everyday "Can I say anything yet???!?!?!!"...  Finally I could let her, and boy that was like putting a mintos into a diet soda. But luckily, she did respect my wishes.
What helped me was explaining to her that if anything bad happened, like a miscarriage, I would be able to handle it better without everyone knowing and making it harder for me to move on. She couldn't argue with that logic.. Good luck with your mom.. I hope everything works out for you!
