So my ob called me and told me she read me the wrong ultrasound...... My baby is perfectly fine.. ugh. Still would like to have confirmation... And another ultrasound
I was told this at the beginning of my pregnancy my son has no other signs either but doctor told me that ultra sounds have gotten so powerful and are able to see things more clearly that she said not to worry. The soft marker on the heart wasn't considered a marker until a few years ago. My baby boy Will be born hopefully in a few weeks. I wouldn't stress too much about although I know is hard because no matter what anybody tells you its your baby. Good luck with your pregnancy
My sister was told this with her daughter. She was sent to specialists, and tests were done. The amino came back negative for downs, and the spot ended up going away. Her daughter is perfectly fine. Dont stress out too much, apparently it is common.
A "soft marker" for Downs is a term for a condition that is more increased in a child with Downs. I've attached a link that discusses "soft", "hard" and "medium" markers.
It looks like they've classified an EIF (is that what you have?) as a "medium" marker - but still, taken alone as the only marker - makes it unlikely your child has downs.
You can look through the list of markers. Since your baby only has one of the conditions - and none of the "hard" markers - you can relax and enjoy your pregnancy.

Yep, my baby girl had the same soft marker on her heart. I am 5 weeks post partum and she is perfectly fine :-) really don't stress, lots of babies have that marker and are normal
I have had many friends told this. One of my friends even had two soft markers and none of their babies were born with downs.
Don't freak out. You should love your baby no matter what. Be the mom you'd want your child to have. Everything will work out the way God plans it. ♡
