should I ignore Dr?

I have been having sharp pains every 5 minutes that last 30 sec for 8 hours now. They keep getting more intense. I lost my mucus plug but this time when I used the restroom, there was deep red blood not mucus to. I called Dr and he didn't seem concerned but I am, should I go in to get monitored anyways?

Well I went in, and they sent me home? Said they were early stages of labor and since there was only fresh blood the two times I wiped they saw no cause to be alarmed. My cramping is still going on, but as long as my baby is ok, I'll tough through them better.
