Hello ladies just wondering when do your drs perform us ? How many weeks my fist Dr does an us in every visit but I had to switch and new one only does two

If they do only two usually its between 10-12 weeks for the first they dont want to do it too early so they don't see anything have to do another.
And
Around 20-22 weeks
Is when they baby is fare enough along to tell the gender and able to check for genetic abnormalities that would show up on the ultrasound.
Some doctors do them alittle bit earlier then 20 weeks.

And if you just started seeing a different doctor could be different then regularly.

But if you haven't had 10-12 week ultrasound yet. 12 weeks you can see so much more then when there only 10 weeks really make a hug difference.

Im pregnant now and have one son. I saw him at 9.6 so a day early of 10 weeks he was less definite. Baby #2 I could see so much more it was awesome and the baby was doing flips amd I had the ultrasound done at 12 weeks. With my son he was just wiggly. 2 weeks makes a big difference.

Normally dr only does 2. Dating ultrasound and 20-24 w scan. Unless you have complications or are a high risk pregnancy

My dr doesn't personally do my ultra sounds, but he has me get them done at 10 weeks,20 weeks and 30 something weeks!

I'm in Massachusetts, and I had one at 8w, 13w, 22w, and then and 30w I came down with GD so they gave me more at 33w, 35w, 36w, and I have another one every Friday until I give birth.
The extra ultrasounds are the one good thing about pregnancy complications.

3 us at 12, 22 and 32 weeks for more details and looking if all is ok. Plus a short us at every appointement just "to say hi" as my doctor says.

I had one at 8 wks, 12 wks, 16 wks, 20 wks 24 wks due to cervical issues. Now that my cervix was still long enough and closed they stopped doing them until.my next appt next week and Ill be 34 weeks. Its a growth scan to see where hes at, at that time!

I'm currently 21+weeks and I've had 3 US, I'll be going for another one in 2 weeks. It really all depends on the doctor and the patient.

My doctor did one at 8w, 16w, and 20w.  Unless there is a problem, she said they don't do any additional ones.
