birth plan??? sorry so long!

Tomorrow i will be 19 weeks.i am going to have a c-section. My first were twins almost 6 years ago and i had an emergency c-section. One of my twins heart stopped and when it did the other stopped progressing in growth. I elected for this c-section due to fear of uterine rupture. My question is this.....i want to write a birth plan for this procedure due to the fact that i feel i missed so much during the last one and also things got messed up. Surviving baby had to be moved to nicu in another hospital. I was supposwd to breast feed which NONE of the nurses even discussed with me...i did not even get a pump to send milk to my baby until about 6 hours later...etc. When woulf be a good time to start writing my birth plan?

When they go to the nicu they always give formula, given the condition of baby (and sometimes mom) when they are brought there the main thing is just to get them some nourishment and as soon as possible.  Hospital policy also plays a big role in this. Many people think if you want to pump that you tell the nurse and they'll bring it right over, only issue is usually the nurse is told by you, then she must tell the Dr, the Dr then has to write orders for the breast pump, and then it can be given to you.

Since you already plan on having a c section.. this baby should make it to full term so it probably womt have to go to the nicu. So after your all sown up you will see your baby. And you can just begin to breast feed then.
