since I live in such a small town they mix it together and we get what we get
I realize that people actually need them. And that is why my insurance is not paying for it. I live in a community with about 1900 people and we don't have any other place to go for 3d pics besides our doctors office. I'm sorry you've seen such terrible things. I've been fortunate to not have experienced that. My first son had kidney issues and we got a 3d scan for that it cleared up on its own thank the Lord. It's fun to see the little guys face and put pictures in the baby book that is all I was getting at I'm sorry if offended you dear. Thank you for what it's worth.
If I had a nickel for every time someone asked for 3D pics as soon as they walked into the room....I have scanned a twin with no head, heart, or arms; IUGR fetuses, massive cystic hygromas; gastroschisis; bilateral renal agenesis; twin to twin transfusion syndrome; bladder outlet obstruction; ventriculomegaly; heart defects; hydronephrosis; massive hydrops; countless fetal demises; and more. So yes, I am moody with regards to inappropriate use of diagnostic medical ultrasound. Enjoy your 3D appointment and best wishes.
Somebody is moody? Thanks ladies for suggestions glad there's some positivity :)
I'm getting mine done on the 2nd, I'll be 29*2
I got mine done at 30 weeks and it was the best thing ever! My son looks exactly like me :)
Klipscomb, I suggest you and your doctor read the AIUM practice guiblines for OB ultrasound. Ahhhhhh, you can find it on their website. Ultrasound is a medical imaging procedure that requires a physician order and must be medically indicated. 3D ultrasound for "entertainment" purposes is not a medical indication. On the other hand, evaluating the fetal face with 3D due to suspected cleft lip is an indication. LMFBO
Well dadat47 I'm not going to a retail store are you crazy? Lmfao ahhhhhhhhhhh that's some good stuff! No my doctors office just got a machine for it but they aren't taking patients until they figure out how much to charge and the only other office we have on the mountain does them so I may have to call that doctor to see if they can get me in. I'm 26 weeks now. We live in a small mountain community my dear and we don't have "retail" locations that do ultrasounds. Lol
I had mine done at 24 weeks.. It was so amazing
My Dr said 27-30 weeks as it gets pretty tight in there after that. I am having mine done at 28 weeks.
28-32 weeks...as long as baby is in a good position. I'm assuming you're going to one of "those" retail places and not a medical office.
