I have  a 14 year old step-daughter. A 6 year old son and am due in June. My oldest babysits her brother and is a lot of help. They both had already 6 year to be the "baby" and have their own attention and their not competitive because they are in other stages of their life.

My twins will be 8 the same month baby is due, and i think the age difference is great because they got all the attentiom they needed. Now they are at school full time I have more time for another. Plus the added bonus of my two big girl helpers.

My kids are 10, 3, and #3 arrives mid-late June. It's not a big deal. We didn't plan it this way, but God has different plans for us. And my husband want one more after this too.

My son is 9 and at first he was resistant to me having a baby but now he is ok with the idea! He even tells me not to eat things because its not good for the baby lol. As long as you and the hubby are happy its all that really matters! Congratulations! When are you due?

My daughter was 6 when her baby brother was born, major bonus!! Lol! No jealousy, she loves him to pieces and she was such a big help!! Old enough to feed him, hold him, help get diapers and many other things! I am pg again with number 3 and now I have an 8 year old and a 2 year old!! I know she will do great but not so sure the 2 year old will adjust quite as well. I think the age difference was a great thing and she will actually remember her brothers being babies and be able to carry those experiences on to her future!! Congratulations!!  :-)

My son will be 8 a month after his sister is born and i wouldnt have it any other way. Your mother needs to get over it its not like you can do anything about it now. I am very excited about their age difference. And he never wanted a brother or sister until now anyway and he is so excited to be getting a baby sister. It will be easier on people to watch the both of them too instead of trying to find someone to watch a baby and a toddler or real young child. And he will be so much help!

I have 6 yrs apart with my middle sister and 12 yrs with the last one. And i must say that i wouldnt have it any other way. I really would like to have a gap with my kids. My sisters n I get along so much better then all my friends with their sibling. They look up to me as a best friend and a sister and i love it. I was like a second mini mom with them. :) i think its perfect! Gives you time to enjoy them growing up and they understand when a new baby is in the family and they can help more its just more fun i think!

My boys are 12 and 9 and we are having another in May. I dont think itll be hard. It'll be different because we have a lot of freedoms with them being older but them being older will make it easier to care for a little one.
