Amazed with rudeness!

Yesterday at the store I saw an old friend I hadn't seen in awhile, told them I was 23 weeks pregnant with a baby girl and instead of saying congratulations or how exciting, she says, "maybe next time it will be a boy." What the hell! Why can't people just be nice and think before they speak!?

Everyone does this to me.. we have all boys in my damily.. I'm the only girl, I have three older brothers, two nephews, 4 great nephews, all male cousins, and a two yr old son.. now I'm pregnant with my second son and everyone sighs at the fact that it's another boy.. I'm like, I was the only girl in this family and I wouldn't want to put another girl through that.. it was hard.. God was preparing me my whole life to have sons I guess.. everyone's like hopefully next time.. I'm like I don't think there's going to be a next time so can you just enjoy my boys..

People are so weird! I am pregnant with my third girl and people made the "too bad it wasn't a boy" comment. I totally don't care if I never have a boy and I am so happy this girl is a girl. What's with the need for both sees in order to fit some generic family ideal? Haha! I just laugh it off cuz really I love the unique family I have and wouldn't change a thing!!

My friend did me the same way, saying I'm mad your not having a girl, I said oh that's your problem because I'm more than happy. She just laughed. But hell, I was serious. I swear I think some ppl just don't know how to be happy for the next person smh.

One day a lady at my work said to me "oh you're pregnant, I thought you were overweight!" I was 23wks or around there I thonk, I was obviously preggo and not at the stage where you just look fat! Then I saw my mom the other day for the first time in almost a month and she said "oh! You ARE really big! Your cousin said if she was your dr she wouldn't let you go full term b.c you got too big" I just shook my head...I am 34+3 and have gained 30lbs and it's all belly except for a Lil swelling in my hands and feet, and my face got fuller. I am only 5'3 and 140lbs, my husband is almost 6'4 and 210lbs...I knew I would have a big baby! The drs told me from the beginning that I should plan on around 8lbs and 21" or 22". People will always have their opinions and talk, I just ignore them now

I don't understand what the obsession is with people wanting us to always have the opposite of what we are having. I'm having my second girl. My mom said "...too bad you aren't having a boy, then you could be done at two." I've mentioned many times that the hubby would love to have 3 children and truthfully I would too, maybe even 4. My uncle remarried late and now has two younger boys and his oldest son (there's a 21 year gap between the two older sons) has two young boys of his own. My daughter is currently the only girl, so I thought my mom would be happy to have another little girl running around...
