I developed pre eclampsia with my 1st child, and she was born at 33+5d, she was tiny, but healthy. With my 2nd i was having growth scans from 33 weeks as he was measuring small, my placenta was starting to calcify (break down) and i ended up being induced with him at 38 weeks. He was healthy and was a tiny 4lb 14 bub. I'm not sure about what is going on with your placenta, but its great that they are closely monitoring you, and i hope all turns out well.
That is reasurring to know,Did your little Girl have to spend long in scbu?Did you know it was breaking down before 33weeks?
My little Girl is very active and already weighs 1lb 7oz at 24weeks which is a good weight.
My daughter was only in special care nursery for 2 weeks, she weighed 4lbs, and they waited til she was 4lbs 7oz when they let her come home.
And no, i didn't know my placenta was breaking down before the 33 weeks with my son, they knew he was measuring undersize and therefore monitored me and his growth til 38 weeks. He was gaining weight during those last few weeks, but not much, so as soon as i got to term they knew he'd be better out than in!
