Are salads ok to eat?

Would it be ok to eat a salad at a place like outback or should I avoid it?

Being diabetic i eat salads daily, from salad kits from the grocery store to ones from restaurants. My Dr knows this and has never said not too.

I know people warn against salad at fast food places or restaurants because you don't know how long they leave it out or if it's at the right temps.. but that sounds really paranoid to me. A Salad from outback is better than pasta, etc. From outback I would think..
