No alcohol is better in your first trimester, wait till your further along , end of 2nd-ish and a glass a week , makes for a healthy heart, I'm 29 weeks, my baby is doing great, I enjoy my red wine, but I don't choose the cheap stuff, look for non screw tops, better quality is always better, just remember moderation!! But don't deprive yourself, it helps u & baby relax and that's good!

Alcohol thins your blood so I don't see this being effective for anemia. I might have a glass once a month or so but never more than that

Having a glass of wine every now and then will not hurt your baby. When they quote stuff about fetal alcohol syndrome they are talking about alcoholics. Everything is safe in moderation during pregnancy just like normally in life. Sushi is safe in moderation,  so is lunch meat and everything else they say is a must to avoid besides hard core drugs like cocaine. Even smoking in low doses is perfectly fine. If all this stuff they spout is so detrimental then the human race would have died off in the early 1920's when everyone smoked and drank.

Its your choice, the research is split... But my feeling is, its only 9 months. Why not just wait?

It's okay, even my bosses at work were saying it a okay to drink wine during pregnancy, that their wives did nd their children are all just fine.  I took tiny sips from a glass of wine and didn't finish the whole thing and didn't feel bad about it.  Now if ur knockin it back and finishing the wine quickly then I would consider that unsafe for baby, but drinking at a slow pace I believe won't do anything.

I did with my 2nd child. The dr said it was fine so I did once every few weeks with my husband. Baby came out just fine. Maybe you should get the ok from your doctor first.

I would not yet. Wait maybe till 3rd trimester or even after baby is better,  unless your doctor says so. I'm 34 weeks and 1 day and my doctor put me on muscle relaxers for my back and hip cause I was in so much pain I couldn't move and it's from old injuries flaming back up not the pregnancy and so I took it for two days and I felt amazing but the 2nd day I couldn't really feel him move as much, the nurse said he's just running out of room but I don't believe it all cause he started to move like normal till 2 days after I went in. Your baby consumes everything you take in. If you don't have a legit reason or you bare to go with out it then don't do it cause your giving that to your baby and it's effects them.

They say its safe. However id air on the side of caution. I try to always remember if it enters my body.. it enters the baby. Think about how pure that little life is inside of you. One of the angels that came to Sampson mother in the bible warned "do not have any strong drink" (alcohol)
