decision??

I'm supposed to be induced tomorrow but I kind of don't want to. I'm not ready and I kinda want the baby to come out on her own and not force everything on her. I don't like that I'm gonna be all drugged up and the baby to be forced to get out. I'm 11 days over do. Idk will it bee a difference if I get induced or not. What if my midwife just mistaken my due date or something . It's like so scary to know tomorrow is the day. Do you think I should talk to my midwife today and ask her for the latest day I can be pregnant. I want to wait for the last second. I rather have my girl come out on her own. But I know the daddy really really wants her out already he's like super excited so is my family. I am too but I can wait. What do you think

I was induced on Monday, 3 days b4 my edd. As a ftm, I thought I wanted my baby to come when he was ready. But I went ahead and got induced for convenience. I was nervous it would end in a c-section bc I wasn't dialeted or thinned out at all. I hadnt even lost my plug. Basically I had no signs of labor. Now that it is all over, I preferred getting induced bc I knew what to expect and when. They gave me a pill to get my cervix ripened twice. Then they started me on the piticon. My contractions started. I got the epidural after about the 5th bad contraction. After the epidural, it was smooth sailings. I delivered a very healthy son 17 hours after coming to the hospital. That is my story on being induced. Good luck to you!

Its hard at that point to mistake the size of the baby and to know if they need to come out or not.. also the medicine they use to induce labor does not make you feel drugged up.. That is up to you for the morphine and the epi..

2 weeks is the longest they will let you go overdue because after the risk of still births and other complications go up. I have never been induced and wouldn't want to but at this point being 11 days overdue I think I would for the health of my baby.

Yeah i think 2 weeks is the most you'd absolutely want to go. I totally understand on not wanting to be induced. If i were you, i'd get to walking, squatting, sex, bouncing on a ball, etc. Maybe you can get him to come naturally before your appointment tomorrow.

11 days is pretty late. Are you dilated at all or anything?  My first I was induced at 10 days over (no dilation or effacement had happened either) thank goodness they did because she had already had her first bowel movement and had inhaled it and first appgar score was 0. Truly scary. Whatever you decide though blessings and hope all goes well for you and baby!:)

I'm all for labor starting on it's own but 11 days is kind of pushing it. Two weeks is as long as they will let you go over. You could certainly see if she'll at least give you a few more days. Good luck mama:)

I was induced with my first a day after she was due. I regret it now. I should have waited. I really want this one to come on it's own if possible and will only be induced if there is something wrong and it's needed. Stick with your gut! If the baby is fine being left in there for now, then I would wait.

I would do what feels right for you. If you aren't comfortable with getting induced and there's no risk to the baby then I wouldnt do it. In the end it is your decision and you're the one that has to live with that decision. Do what you're comfortable with!

I think you need to do what is comfortable to you. Providing there is no medical reason for the inducing. Drs. are so inducing happy theses days. But I think I remember hearing that there is a time of when it's no longer healthy for the baby. My dr. wanted to induce me a week early ( I guess he had vacation time planned) I said no last minute because I felt the same way you did... I didn't want to force it, and I ended up going naturally that day anyhow.
