It grows on you. :)
My initial reaction was also no.. but after I got some feel for it, it's not that bad!
But I would make sure to google it to see what the name is mostly associated with, as it is quite unusual and ppl will perhaps draw a reference to something else..
It does seem more like a dogs name.. I don't like it for a child's name...
I know a little boy named Atticus. Strong name, very uncommon but any lover of great American fiction will smile when they hear it. Atticus Finch is just about the bravest, wisest, fairest fictional character there ever was. I think it is uncommon enough to rate some teasing, confusion, and funny looks - but it is strong enough to outlast all of it.
My friends great dane is named "Atticus" but I can see it being a great boy's name also :)
Love it! I wanted to name my son Atticus but my husband didn't like it LOL
thats the name a friend of mine has as her sons name
One of my friend's son's name is Atticus. I didn't like it at first, but. Its grown on me.
Atticus and Cassius are my favorite names if we had a boy that's what we were choosing between.
It's different. I thought about how children are even more cruel nowadays. However, if you &your husband like it, that's all that matters.
I had that on my list of names. I like it
It sounds very old time-ish to me! But I like it!
I personally don't like it.
I like it...also, that was the father's (lawyer) name in To Kill A Mockingbird... Love that book and movie, such a classic.
Love first time I've ever heard the name !
I like it personally. It's unique and u won't have to worry about confusion in a crowd. Sounds like a name from old roman times. I say keep it
