Guys. What? Babyshowers have special dresses? ... Guys. GUYS. I am having a baby shower with my boyfriend's family and from what I hear they're very conservative and proper.
AM I SUPPOSED TO BE WEARING A FANCY DRESS?
It is a lot but I agree its late to back out now. Maybe you can do as someone else suggested and have it altered after the baby comes so you can wear it again after and get more use out of it.
you are obligated to pay him for his work
That's nearly as much as I spent on my wedding dress. But if you ordered it custom from a designer and have had multiple meetings and fittings then it would be really wrong to cancel now. Someone has put a lot of time effort and materials into your dress. You are obligated now. Sorry but I know several people who do custom clothing (mostly for kids) and they lose out on lots of money and other potential customers when people back out at the last minute and it's a really crappy thing to do to someone making their livelihood that way. You might not want to admit the cost to your husband but you're the one who ordered it and you're responsible for paying for it.
Thx ladies yeah im not comfortable with paying that for a baby shower dress ugh ima just cancel it but I feel obligated now..
I wish that was in our budget, but with baby #5 on the way I'm not sure I've spent that much on ALL of my clothes for the past 2 years! Enjoy!
That is a lot of money... I could never spend that much..I'd feel so guilty
Honestly I think it's too much.. I found mine at forever 21 for $27.80.. But I can't knock you for wanting to wear a dress YOU want!! I got that dress because I know I can wear it after!! Good luck..
I think it is a lot. I had two dresses cause last minute I changed my mind. The dress I did end up with was a white bodycon mid dress and dressed that up $36 for it. Now friends want to buy the dress.
Perhaps you could resize it for after the pregnancy....maybe make it shorter if it's longer....change it a little so you can use it again!
I pay 60$ for my dress on Macy's and regret it after lol you only use it once for like 5 hours lol
That's a lot in my opinion but its your day.
Personally, I think that is pricey, but it's a personal opinion. I would never spend that much on a dress.I spent less than that on my prom dress and also insisted on wearing it to every thing I could possibly wear it to. For a maternity dress to cost that much, I'd be wearing every single day until I gave birth, ha ha. That being said, that's me and I'm frugal and don't have tons of money. I look at that and say that's almost half of my half of our rent. If you guys are comfortable enough that you are able to even consider it, it's a different situation. Also, if you are the kind of person that wearing that special one of a kind dress that was made for you is going to make your baby shower special for you, then maybe it's worth it to you.
Well its made lol I just hv to hide how much it cost lol
I don't think it's that pricey, however I wouldn't have a designer do mine because I hate having fittings lol. I'll probably just go to Nordstrom's or something.
It looks a little pricey. But if you can afford it and its going to make you feel beautiful why not! :)
Not if u got it like tht but in my circumstances I would say yes bn tht u have a lil one on the way ... my bby shower dress was on sale for $10 at aeropostale outlet store lol
