Ive been swimming in the pool, in the ocean. No problem either way. If ur beach isnt always clean check ur environmental government agency. Otherwise, hop in! An awful lot of those pregnancy aches n pains go away when ur in the water. Its where I'm most comfortable

We go to schliterbahn often in the off peak season, no waiting in lines at least 6 times a year never gotten sick or had an infection. Yes all bodies of water have bacteria. Everyone is different. But I def wouldn't want to go in the gulf

I went to Galveston while pregnant with my first. The smell of the seaweed and all the nasty fish made me want to barf! But other than that you should be fine. And I wouldn't go to schlitterban. My sister in law went last summer and got a horrible weird infection, that lead to some serious problems. They are currently in a law suite. They don't clean the water enough, and her dr even told her he never took  his kids or his grandchildren to water parks. There is so much bacteria there it's disgusting.

Uggh you know that even when you aren't pregnant that g towns water isn't good to get into, and now that you are pregnant that is just not a good idea. I live in Houston and we visit very often.

I don't live near the ocean, but I do live where there are a lot dirty lakes and a lot of swimming pools. I went swimming and didn't have any infection issues.
