Thyroid during pregnancy

Hi, I am on my 6 week pregnancy. My thyroid was normal before I am getting pregnant. But on recent blood test there is increase of .1 in thyroid level. Doctor asked me to take Thyronorm 12.5. Was this a serious issue. Will it affect baby growth.
