Birth Control for after baby

I had the mirena iud and didn't like it because it hurt sometimes and the side effects weren't so pleasant either. I didn't like the fact I didn't get periods because I feel they help cleanse the body. The doctor has been asking me what birth control I plan on using after the baby. I don't really want birth control. Maybe I just want to be done having my babies I have my girl and now waiting on my boy... The doctor said I am too young for permanent birth control, I am 25 years old... idk what to do? does anyone know if permanent birth control has any side effects besides not producing?

I am in the same boat. I am 25 about to have my second child. I have a 4 year old boy and will be having a girl. I didn't like my mirena at all. My husband and I have decided we are done. He really doesnt want to get fixed and I am terrified of getting my tubes tied. I was hoping someone would be able to suggest something else. I want it to be effective by my 6 week checkup and not interfere with breastfeeding. So any suggestions you hear about please please share.

You could always try the implanon thay goes in your arm good for three years. I had a good two year run with it before getting it removed to get pregnant again. But as for getting your tubes tied you may just have to find a doc that will do it for you. My mother had it done after she had my brother at 26. I dont believe she's ever had problems with it. They were cut burnt and tied.
