My precious baby boy was born on 8/01 at 41 weeks. My Dr had scheduled me to go to l&d on Thu to have cervidil inserted to thin my cervix and start my induction process. I got to l&d around 10 and by 12 had it inserted. The nurse informed me that it could take a while before I even go into labor since I still had not progressed from 1cm after 4 weeks. About 15 min after having it inserted I immediately started feeling contractions. I didn't want to wake my husband since he was sound asleep expecting a long night. I couldn't help it and called the nurse. Sure enough, I was in full on labor with contractions coming in every 2 min. Two hours later I was given epidural, just as planned. Before I knew it I was pushing. Didn't even need pitocin. Nurses were stunned at how fast the process went. I believe in the strength of prayer and I prayed for a fast and healthy delivery, but most of all a healthy baby. God is good. Best wishes to all you ladies. May God bless you all.

Congratulations to you and your family on the arrival of your son!! I had to be induced as well and we, too, prayed our son out of there! We prayed and listened to Gospel music and that was what saved me, especially since my epidural ran out halfway in labor! Enjoy this time because it goes by so fast! Hard to believe my son is 3 weeks old already! Take care and best of luck!
