My mother in law is a hair stylist and owns a salon. She has had 4 kids and worked up until giving birth. All of her kids are perfectly healthy. I was nervous too and with my first child I wouldn't color my hair. This time I'm getting it colored every 6 weeks or so. Only problem I have is the fumes can make me nauseas but I put a towel over my nose and I'm fine.

I teach cosmetology the color does not sink into your scalp drs used to be worried about the fumes but as long as ur in a well ventilated area u are perfectly fine I do hair every day and color my own and im on my 3rd baby and 36wks

Highlights as in foils or tips? Would be the safer option because it doesnt actually touch your scalp so it cant sink into your scalp :)
