Blood clot in uterus

I'm 13 weeks and saw my Obgyn yesterday. She told me that there is a blood clot in my uterus. She put me on progesterone and is sending me for an ultrasound again in a week to check the size of the clot. I have experienced cramping, but no spotting. This is our first baby, and we are so nervous. We so badly want this baby to be happy and healthy. Any experiences or information you could share on these blot clots or progesterone would be greatly appreciated.

I've had a clot in one of my major veins in my pelvis last year. I don't know if I can fully relate but during this pregnancy my doctor put me on lovenox injections (blood thinner) and I'll use them for 6 weeks after I deliver. Good luck to you!

Thank you so very much for helping to ease my mind. I'm sure I'll still worry...as I'm sure every mommy-to-be and mommy does. But it helps to know that happy, healthy babies have been born even with these blood clots. Thank you again! Best wishes to all of you and your little ones!

I was also diagnosed with a Subchorionic hematoma at 9 weeks 1 day, after some light spotting. I have had 2 miscarriages before so I was terrified. The doctor put me on modified bed rest and full pelvic rest. I am now 16 weeks today and the baby is looking perfect. I had a scan at 13 weeks and the bleed was still there but small. It's still something I think about, but I'm no longer too worried about it. Try not to stress (hard I know) and just keep seeing your Doc. I hope everything goes well for you and congrats on the lil' one!

With my son, I had a subchorionic hemorrhage. I also have a bicornuate uterus(heart shaped), so I also need progesterone shots. I made it full term with my son. 13 weeks now, so far so good with this little peanut.

I wouldn't say it's a typical pregnancy side affect, but it is some what common. I'm on my 4th pregnancy & this is the first time I've ever had them. My dr isn't concerned, but is watching me more closely then usual. Usually the reabsorb back into the uterine wall.
