Bloody show?

So just had my 2nd unsuccessful sweep at 38+6, doc got to my cervix this time but it was still too closed to do it, got home and had a bloody show, how long did everyone wait after their show? I know it means very little and that it can regenerate but I live in hope lol

So was 3rd time semi lucky for me today, doc was able to do a mini sweep so fingers crossed! Booked in for induction on Monday and if that fails section on Tues,  either way by this time next week I will have my little baby

With my first, I dropped the plug and the next day I started a 28 hour labor process.  My friend was a week ahead of me, she had her show and it still took a week before they had to induce her.  The timeline varies

Losing more of the plug today and still getting mild cramps on and off, praying this is something starting, even if it's my body getting ready to have a successful sweep next week I will be happy

well, fingers crossed for you!  I was 1 cm until 10 days past 40 weeks and I went from 1 cm to 10/delivering in a day.  So, it really can all of a sudden happen.

Thanks for the reply, no idea what I'm having as decided not to find out this time, I've just had bloody discharge no actual plugs which is what I was expecting too lol I had a really rough time with my first and now I'm really anxious about this one so I'm praying it means something as doc informed me today I may need another section if this ba doesn't get a move on, I really want a natural birth this time round

The thing for the bloody show and mucus plug for me was it wasn't what I expected. I expected a SHOW and a PLUG.  LOL  It just kind of was extra discharge over the course of days for me.  I wouldn't say for me, much happened for several days.  That your doctor messed with your cervix could result in getting it to start opening a bit more.  I would dilate a tiny bit and have spotting and mild contractions every time I was checked in my last month---  that little bit of cervix stimulation would cause that.  Hang in there.  Sounds like it will be really soon.  Do you know what you are having?
