Hello friends please suggest, I have my appointment with doc on Thursday where she said she will be checking the dilation and if I'm not wrong it's same thing what we address as membrane sweep... now after doing my little research I got to know that it progresses chances of labor.... please suggest should I go  for it or not...
Ooh yes forgot to mention I'm 38wks 3 days...

Checking for dilation and a sweep are not the same thing.

To my knowledge they are two separate things. One checks your cervix for dialation and effacement(sp) and the other helps get labor going. I have an exam Thursday that is just to see if I've started dialating. I'm 39 wk 1 day. But I could be wrong. Ftm here.
