CRIBS.. HELP?!??!

So I'm having a really difficult time choosing a crib. I want a good, safe, and economical crib. It's kind of hard to choose when I really have no clue which brands are actually best and trust worthy. I read graco is associated with another company in china and people have had too many complaints about it and no help to fix the problems. I've also heard bad reviews about stork craft cribs in the best but I'm not sure if now they're safe? Which cribs/brand have you seen are best or swear by? To mommies & moms to be

Got ours at Babies R Us, it was $400 but sturdy, beautiful and great reviews! Also its a 3 in 1 crib yay!

I'm getting a crib/changer combo from Babies r us that converts to a toddler bed as well. It's priced fairly cheap $299 and reviews are all positive!

Yes I've read a couple people had complaints with the shipped cribs.. Some would be damaged, scratched..etc & they'd have to ship it back and what not.

The things you want to look for in a crib: constructed of hardwood (not pine) and no composite, solid wood slats or springs no composite slats or vinyl straps, never buy a used crib (unless you know the previous owner and know when it was made and if its been recalled)

Jc penny has several brands to choose from with excellent ratings mine was Bedford Monterrey

I bought my 4 in 1 convertible crib set at jc penny online it is very sturdy and  quality crib dresser (changing table) and chess were 1/2 the price of any set at buy buy Baby or babies r us. I got 3 pieces that will last from infant to adult for $950 same set anywhere else would be over $2000.

Buying cribs online will come with a risk...  i bought my crib from Burlington Coat Factory.  Unsure of the brand, but have used it for my 2 boys within the past few years. I chose to buy the 4 in 1 which is a crib, daybed, twin, and toddler.  It was half the price Babies R Us had it on sale for and i was able to see if it was sturdy enough.  I have had no issues with this crib as it matters if ur handy with tools. I also had no clue which cribs are best/safe but my mamaw and aunt researched a bunch of brands an found a lot of good reviews an recomendations on the da vinchi kalani crib. I have two on order now from Amazon should be here next week! Good luck btw.. (: can't wait to meet my twin boys..
