Climbing Stairs

anyone climb stairs daily? Not sure what type of affect that has your body. But I climb stairs daily. Climb to get in the house, climb to go upstairs, climb them at work. When I am done climbing, I am always out of breathe

I'm 32 weeks and live on the 4th floor, so I'm constantly going up and down stairs. I also have several flights at work. No matter how many times I'm going up them, I'm terribly slow and out of breath!

I wish I could!  My sciatica KILLS me on stairs and I'm afraid to fall up or down them, so I avoid at all costs.  I can walk on flat ground for hours.... No issues.  3-4 stairs can do me in. Husband won't even let me go into the basement to check on the laundry anymore.

I climb stairs everyday to get down stairs and to catch train. I also live on the second floor, so I have to climb stairs.  I do get out of breath after climbing the stairs. Honestly, as long as you take it easy on yourself it shouldn't be bad. At least I hope not, because I do this daily!!!

I'm not out of breath when I get to the top, but my legs always feel exhausted, like jelly. There's a rather long  continuous flight of stairs at work I have to climb once or twice a day, and I always have to stop halfway up to rest my legs.

Climbing stairs is good for you! Won't hurt baby at all, and will help you stay in shape. And depending on how far along you are, getting out of breath is either from fatigue or because baby is taking room away from your lungs so you can't breathe as well. I wouldn't be concerned unless you start to black out or see stars

Lol right!!! I'd never get rid of it even after being pregnant! It'd be so much easier to get the baby up and down too! Ahahah were gonna be moving soon and I'm really gonna try to convince him to stick to a one story! I'm so over living in a two story! Cleaning the stairs is the worst!

Haha a stair lift would be awesome. 8 days till my due date and my husband and I just moved from a two story to a one story. It's so much nicer not having to climb stairs, although unpacking is just as tiring!

I don't think there's any negative impact.. of course getting out of breath is normal as baby grows lungs are tighter in there.. I could only see a problem if you have a placenta previa.

Yes ma'am! Live in a two story and our bathroom is upstairs, literally going up every ten minutes! And our washer n dryer is in the basement so that's another flight of stairs lol but I think just take your time I tend to lose my breath but I don't think it hurts the baby in anyway
