MUCUS PLUG

I think I may have lost my mucus plug. It was clear and stretchy/stringy like snot I never had a discharge like this. I'm 27w5d I just read that it could be a sign of labor and a post of a lady at 27w who went into  preterm labor shortly after so I called the emergency line and they transferred me to a nurse and I asked her did I loose it I explained to her what it looked like  and she said " I don't know I'm not looking at you, if you want to come in you can but That's up to you." So not much help there so can you ladies help me out a bit?

Go in and have them check you asap, especially because you are very early. I wish you all the best, but please go to be safe and keep us posted.

It can be a sign off labor, but not necessarily. I lost mine last week (at 37 weeks) and still no labor for me, even though it was bloody.  My mom kinda freaked out when I told her because she only lost hers right before going into labor with all her babies. But everyone is different. Some women lose them really early and they keep losing mucous for weeks because it rebuilds itself. I wouldn't worry about it being a sign of preterm labor unless you start getting contractions.
