Mumma - you're right! There are a lot of horror stories out there. I'm not so much a worrier & it did say that it goes back to normal after pregnancy. I'm half expecting it not to be that, but will give it a mention. Thanks for the link!
Jess - oh do u? Yeah I'll mention it & she'll probs do the test. My midwife said I looked pale the other day & suggested eating more veg (which I eat every 2/3 days anyway cos I know your iron does drop) so I suppose it might kill two birds with one stone :-)
If you dod its called thromboycenia. I have it and i do bleed more when I cut but I would just ask they check your platelets
Try not to google too much as there's a lot of horror stories out there! Mine was low in my last pregnancy and I had a csection with a spinal and was fine, went back up after delivery. Check out: babycenter.com.au/x542273/should-i-worry-if-i-have-low-platelets
I'll have a google of low platelets in pregnancy. I wasn't sure how to word it & it kept coming back with miscarraige-type questions/answers. I'll mention it at my next midwife appt.
Thanks mumma!
Maybe your platelets are low. I would mention it to your dr at your next appointment if its not a normal amount of blood.
