Only 4% of women actually go in labor in their actual due date. They're are just a estimate not an actual set date
Very much an estimate. A lot of factors come into play, genetics (if women in your family tend to deliver later, then chances are you will), which birth it is (first is more likely to gestate longer), baby's hormones (when they release them to trigger birth), plus ovulation times are different for different women, dating scans can be off by up to a week even in early weeks...it's why everyone works out due dates with their doctor differently, on a case by case basis.
My first was over by 11 days (based on dating scan), second was on her due date (based on morphology scan - I didn't have a proper EDD before then, was more like a wild guess) :)
It's an estimated due date, rarely accurate. I've had 1 born on my due date
Second was a vbac natural labor forgot to add that
First pregnancy over by three days c section after two days of induced labor after fluid was low Second came early by 4 days by estimated lmp date but exact date by first ultrasound due date if that make sense doctor wouldn't change date since it wasn't over 2 weeks off
