Most doctors ive heard don't do ultrasound till 7 or 8 weeks
Going thru the same thing. The doctor saw nothing! No sac no fetal pole no heart beat!!! Atleast you have a sac hun!!!
They couldnt date me at first, there was only a gestational sac and I didn't know how far along I was. Went back 3 weeks later and there was baby and the yolk sac. At this point they dated me at 6 weeks, which means I was only 3 weeks pregnant at the first u/s. I'm now almost 13 weeks and baby is doing well. It is probably too early for you. As long as you aren't cramping and bleeding I would wait a couple weeks and get another u/s done.
Lol basically pregnancy is 40 weeks but the first two weeks is basically the from the egg being fertilized until it fully mounts in your uterus. That is why they say you sometimes wont get a positive pregnancy test until you miss your period. Average cycles are 28days. And typically you ovulate halfway through so 14 days. So your egg would have to been fertilized during your ovulation and the it takes to other 12 days or so to implant and get your hormones completely out of wack lol. So i would say they are right on which means you became pregnant from the latter intercourse date.
Well I estimated I was 4w5d but they couldn't date me bc without seeing a confirming identifier (yolk sac, fetal pole HR) I had to rescan 2 weeks after and was dated 7w1d. The whole dating to LMP throws me right off as far what 7w1d really means/refers to
Could they not date it for you? I had my scan done last tuesday (july 21ish) and i was 7 w 5d. They could see heart beat and everything. So if they saw only a sac my guess would be that you conceived in april. That would have made you 3-4 weeks at time of scan. Pretty accurate.
