Is it normal

My daughter is of about five weeks she had any u/a done but we couldn't see anything the nurse who did it said it was an early pg not to worried and reschedule her for a neither u/s in two weeks which would be on May 25 I'm a little scared also she's taken several pg test all have come back positive should we have a blood test done as well

I didn't even go to the doctor until 12 weeks :)  did my ultrasound around 14 weeks....I just don't see the point in early ultrasounds. When I had my first 11 years ago I only had 1 ultrasound mid pregnancy.

My doctor wont even see you til after 8 weeks

I am 5 weeks and went in yesterday and all that could be seen on u/s was a sad. 100% normal. Don't worry more will be seen on the next one.

As above not much to see at 5 weeks but you should be able to see baby and a heartbeat in 2 weeks.

I agree. It use to be that the first ultrasound would be done at 12wks based off lmp. That way you could clearly see baby. But with the early home pregnancy tests more women are finding out earlier and rushing to Dr. At 5 weeks there's nothing to see and a lot of times a women's dates are off and Dr diagnosis as a miscarriage but in reality it is just too early to pick anything up. Best time to have an u/s is after 8wks

At 5W you can't see anything on the U/S all you can probably see is the sac. I don't know why doctors do them so early because half the time it just makes the mother question whether it's normal or if something is wrong.
