I am trying to be strong :) it's been 3 months in. so far, we got this tackled.
My husband is deploying for 9 months right before my due date and is in the field every month. You just have to take care of yourself and be strong.
StynaSky.. I might ask my husband about the Red Cross thing and see how that goes. this is his first baby, so I definitely try every everything to help him be here when she's born.
My sailor only has to go for 40 days out of a 9 month deployment. He's getting pulled out to go to his school(s). So I still won't be able to see him for 4 months. Then 2. Then another 3.
Hubs left when I was preg. With my daughter ON new years day and didnt redeploy until she was over 3mo old. However, depending on how nice his chain of comand is, they can try and get him home. Since it was our firat child, they told him to have me send a red cross allert with my due date, and managed to give him emergency leave. He wasnt evem supposed to get r&r bc it was a 9mo deployment. He arrived 2 days after she was born, but she was also 5days early. Thankfully I haf my MIL to help.me through the whole thing.
Mine is in the field all the time gets lonely. And after the baby is born he's leaving for 6 months.
My husband was TDY for about 2 weeks during my pregnancy.
