Do you think it is possible that dogs can sense labour?? I'm 39w2d and my dog hasn't left my side almost all day-been like this for 2days now. Every time I get up to go potty or to the kitchen-well anywhere in the house-she follows me and lays down on the floor and waits for me to get done with what I'm doing....

I believe they can. They can sense when someone is about to have a seizure and they can even detect cancer. So it only makes sense to me that they can sense things like labor.

My dogs have been acting strange these past few days and I'm scheduled for a c-section tomorrow, but been contracting consistently for 2 days now. I'm actually not sure if the baby wants my doctor to have his way. Lol

I would love to know that my dogs sense labor. I'm only 16 weeks. But when I first got pregnant, my little five pound baby doll Lily was super protective of me. She would bite my other dog if he came too close. Although it doesn't seem like they care now. Lily uses My belly as a trampoline for jumps. Lol.

Dog certainly sense pregnancy don't know about labour as havent had dog around that time but remember when I was preg someone dog every time I would visit he would sit next to my legs and if anyone went to go near me he would show teeth and growl dogs are clever little things

They definitely sense pregnancy, so I bet they can. My dog has definitely sensed my pregnancy. She follows me everywhere now...to the point that if I shower when hubby isn't home, she will nose the curtain open and climb in with me. Its so odd lol. I think she can sense that its getting closer now too, (I'm 34+1) and shes started acting up and has had accidents in the house, right in front of hubby and me..which never happens. I feel bad for her when I do go into labor...shes going to go crazy...if I'm not okay, she didn't handle it well.

I wondered the SAME thing but about cows lol my drive is a mile long an I've been walking up n down it well tonight when I started my walk about 50 cows follows me there and BACK it was really weird bc they havnt done it any other time!

Our best dog (God rest him- lol) definitely sensed pregnancy, but I can't remember if he sensed labor. I woke up around 7:00 with contractions and had an 8:00 appt already scheduled, so we didnt have much time at home with him- but it wouldnt surprise me if he had sensed it.

I honestly think dogs can sense labor... Me n my hubby have a dog n when I was pregnant with my first child, my dog was being weird that whole entire day... Then that night she just started to run around in our living room like crazy n kept trying to jump at my belly. N my water broke 2am that morning... So my dog was trying to tell us that baby was ready to come into the world:-) so I'm sure ur dog is trying to tell u something. Good luck:-)
