Night time Braxton Hicks

Anyone else around 33 weeks starting to get braxton hicks and been totally freaked out in the middle of the night?!
I was so tired and I didn't know if it was real contractions or not!! It went on for like two hours, but then stopped and this morning nothing..
Its kind of scary!!

I think I've had them as well, I get a horrible painful cramp in my upper abdominal (around stomach area) though I can't really tell if it's my son hurting me or my muscles spasming or something. It's always irregular and it hurts so badly I can't even sit, I have to stand perfectly still until it passes.
Comes and goes whenever it pleases, if this is BH I'd like to smack the mother****er that said they don't hurt.

Thanks ladies...yeah to me it felt like my belly just got really tight, so much that it made me have to pee from the pressure, then it would relax...some times it only lasted a few seconds and some times a few minutes...but it was very irregular...I guess that's how you know its not actually labour cause it would stay consistent and get more intense with labour so I hear...??

Any contractions Bh or not if you have more then 10 in a day...you need to go in! I had 3 days worth of Bh mixed with real contractions that would keep stopping and I didn't go in until later and I am 4 1/2cm and 90% effaced now and only 34 weeks. Listen to your body because sometimes it can happen!

Im 30weeks and have been having them since 25weeks. Normally i just breath threw them but thanks to my cousin Im scared now bc she said with her last (which was the only time she got them) hers were so bad that when labor hit she didn't even know. And andesia the best way i can describe them for me is like bad pms cramps. Now everyone is different but that's how they feel for me.

I'm at 29 weeks tomorrow and experienced braxton hicks last night for the first time! It woke me up as well, was a tad scary! If it concerns you call your midwife and they can advise you with regards to the severity. More to come! :) x

They are more common at night time and any time your body is very tired and fatigued. So I if you are already not sleeping well because you are pregnant and uncomfortable then they are more likely to come . If you are able to try to rest often throughout the day. Of course if you are like me and already have a 4 and 1 year old that's not very possible
