I'm 35 weeks and just got my eyes checked today and got contacts.  Fortunately for me nothing had changed and is all the same. I needed to get contacts though because I'm on my last pair and they're about done. I didn't know pregnancy could affect vision a little but all was well with me.

Same here I worked for an optometrist for 7 years and it's never really a good idea to get a script while pregnant because of changing hormones that mess with ur vision.

I'm waiting cause some Dr's will charge even for a recheck or follow up. I know my boss did. And insurance doesn't cover follow ups or rechecks.

I saw my eye Dr at 30 weeks, and my prescription did change by about -0.25 but only in one eye. I purchased just enough contacts to get be through the remainder of my pregnancy and a few weeks after so that I can have my vision rechecked after. She told me it could change back, or stay the same. I just didn't want to purchase new glasses, or a large supply of contacts not knowing if it would be worth it.

I used to work for an optometrist  and did so for about 5 yrs after my 2nd I didn't go back. But your prescription  can change from the 1st trimester till about 1 month after baby being born. Your hormones can change your eyes to fluctuate  or change permanently. Usually if you use contacts your eyes may not see completely  20/20 with pregnancy since glasses prescription  is different  from contacts. The distance at where glasses sit contributes to how much the prescription  is compared to something sitting actually on your eye. So I'm 36 weeks and I'm not gonna get my eyes checked till this baby is out and I'm still gonna wait till my hormones are back to normal. Otherwise you gonna have to change your  lenses even if a small change bothers you. I very myopic near sighted about -6.75 and -7.00 with astigmatism  so I want to make sure My  prescription  doesn't change from 1 month  to another.
