I had a spinal with my c-section. I prefer this way so I can see my baby!
I think for the most part people aren't put to sleep.
Anesthesia is faster than the spinal and in an emergency, time is everything.
I will be having my 4th in Feb my last 3 I've never been put to sleep
Oh ok. I went from 3to10 before being checked. My daughter started coming out. I pushed her out. & bcuz my son was still transverse (side to side), they put me to sleep and went to get him. I see posts on here about emergency sections and the woman was awake. I just don't understand how was an emergency.. (Hopefully Im not offending anyone)
I had an emergency c-section luckily I got the epidural before we knew I was going to need a c-section. I was alert the most part I heard my baby's first cry and see him. After that I was told that I went to sleep...
I had to have an emergency c section due to the placenta rupturing. I was given an epidural because my little boy was not in distress. The nurse anesthetic promised me she would nock me out if I felt any pain. Luckily the epidural worked.
Thanks everyone!! :-) & to the two ladies right above.. I'm glad to hear you both were still able to witness your baby's first cry! :-) Praying if I ever have to have another csection, I can be awake for my baby's first cry! Congratulations moms! :-)
