Extra strength Tylenol?
Is it ok to take extra strength Tylenol? I'm 11 weeks pregnant and have horrible back aches and cramps. I can not seem to find any regular strength anywhere! I'm just worried that the extra strength ones might contain something the regular strength doesn't? Idk. Please help.

I feel a little better about taking the extra strength. I'll go ahead and send my hubs out to get some. We couldn't find regular strength anywhere. I will definitely take yalls advice and only take one and see how that goes.
Yes, it's okay. I don't know if they make regular strength Tylenol anymore cuz I can never find it and the pharmacies by me don't carry it at all. Just don't take more than 4 grams in one 24 hour period, that's no more than 8 pills (extra strength Tylenol is 500 mg). Anymore than that and you are risking liver damage for yourself and probably baby too.
Take one. Once you hit the second trimester, you can take up to 3 extra strength. That is coming directly from labor and delivery

Honestly I have only when I absolutely had nothing else around. I only took 1 pill because it's about 500 something milagrams. Regular is 325 mgs per pill in which you can take two pills at a time every 4 to 6 hours. I'm a nurse so I just used my judgment but I would still talk to your doctor's office about it.
