FTM terrified need peace of mind.

My son was born Thursday and has Jaundice.  I took him in for his newborn check up and his bilirubin numbers have increased. I am so scared idk what to do. The doctor wants to check his numbers again and I just don't see why they won't just go ahead and treat him instead of constantly checking him.  I am about to have a panic attack I am so angry and confused.
Any advice or encouraging words? What can I do to help my baby?

Both my son's have had it 2nd worse than the first. Feed often and 10-15 min in the window or outside a few times a day. Both are fine 2nd son had to use a bili blanket. 36+1 now and Dr said anytime now because she is so far down already and I worry she will have it but know it will be OK.

For Jaundice the way you can help is by allowing your baby  getting some sun light.  Usually treatments  for babies with jaundice  and how severe it is they normally would put them under the light  and that helps with billirubin breakdown.  They are measuring for numbers to see how severe their jaundice is, if it's under certain numbers it probably doesn't require much treatment other than exposing baby to some sun light.
