Don't worry!! You're probably only about 4 weeks along. I also have pcos and very irregular cycles. My lmp was 7/1/14 & im only 6 weeks. They can't see anything on ultrasound until the hcg is at least at 1500. Your numbers are doubling which is great.
I was in this exact situation! Severe PCOS. Tied to get pregnant for a long time.randomly took a pregnancy test-it was positive-but at my u/s, they couldn't find the baby on the transvaginal-but it turned out I was only about 3 weeks along. I'm now 39+2 weeks and anxiously awaiting the arrival of my healthy baby boy!
I have PCOS as well and didn't think I could conceive again. I was put on metformin in March, which was also when I had my last period. I conceived sometime in May. It was a total shock that I ovulated. I am due Feb 21. I was around 8-10 weeks when I found out. For the past year I would have pregnancy symptoms before I would start my period. It led to a lot of false hope so this time when it started again I was sure I was going to get my period. Then the dreams started! Dreaming of a baby boy and I knew I was preggers. I waited another week before I took a test and I was elated! Don't give up hope, its still early!
I have PCOS as well so I was shocked when my blood work came back saying I was pregnant. My number were even lower than urs starting at 21 and 2 days later at 41. 4 days later it was in the 500's. I had a 6 week ultrasound to confirm and I got to see my baby. I am now 25 and most 26 weeks with a healthy baby girl. Try to relax... and enjoy the moment. Just follow the instructions ur doctor gave you until ur next appt. Congratulations mama!
I am trying not to worry but when she said there was no evidence of pregnancy in the uterus she also tried to prescribe methotrexate without even running my HCG levels. So I just felt like there was no way I could be having a healthy pregnancy but I told her I wouldn't take the methotrexate without the HCG levels. When it came back that my HCG levels had doubled she said we still aren't out of the woods and that they should have seen some evidence of pregnancy at the first ultrasound. So needless to say I'm worried that there isn't even a possibility the pregnancy is viable. I have no symptoms of an ectopic pregnancy or miscarriage.
She clearly didn't take into account your irregular cycles. .. very irresponsible of her! Good thing you asked for hcg draws!!
Some don't even see a pregnancy until 7-8 weeks. If you last had your period in July, you typically ovulate 2 weeks after that. So it hasn't been that long. Just give it some more time.
And keep having those levels checked!
Don't worry. I have pcos and am a plus plus size lady. I am 18 weeks.
I also have pcos and i had to go to a fertility doctor to get pregnant i havent had any problems so far im 27 weeks today! Good luck to you!
It'll be fine...could just be too early to tell...happened to me both pregnancies . Im a supersized plus size gal with pcos and i am once again naturally pregnant with my 2nd healthy baby since my July 2013 delivery ...currently 16 weeks and I have faith that all will be blessed and will be this round too. My getting pregnant is all the proof i needed that some "negative nancy" doctors dont know everything because a few of them told me i would never conceive naturally and they stated that they didn't even think fertility treatments would work for me due to my size but God still blessed hubby and i naturally with no aids of assisting at all so just take good care of you and baby until they see the baby debut on the ultrasound despite the textbook guidelines and outcome possibilities they rely on. Congrats in advance and stay positive.
I also have PRO along with hypothyroid and hashimotos disease all of which say there is no way I should be pregnant. Plus I was on birth control when I got pregnant as well. It can happen. I was farther a long, 8 weeks, when I got the positive test and went to the dr I am now 11 weeks along and everything is still great. Take it easy, try not to stress, and best of luck at your appointment on Monday!
And by PRO I meant PCOS gotta love auto correct
I went to the doctor yesterday and I am elated to say I am due May 3. All of you were right in telling me not to worry. I cried when I saw the little heart beat. I hope all is well with you guys. Please keep me posted on your pregnancy progress.
Just a note something I learned PCOS you need to be tested early for diabetes. We are at risk.
