Obstetric cholestasis

Any moms on here had oc?? How was that experience? Did you have to get induced early? I had elevated liver bile acid levels and fit the criteria for it and I am going to go get another set of labs done in the morning. I'm just trying to see kind of how it would be if I have it.

I have it, and will be induced this saturday at 36wks. Yup definitely really itchy. I have scabs everywhere too :( then I itch and they break open. I also have elevated bile acids. The only good thing I noticed is the itching has some good nights and bad. One night I wont wake up itching at all, and the next I cant sleep all night. It doesnt effect me much, if at all, during the day. They gave me medicine for the itch but it doesnt work and makes me really drowsy so I dont take it anymore.  I also take another medication to help with the bile acids.. or liver function or something like that. I am seem twice a week at the clinic once for an ultrasound and once for an ultrasound/appointment. They do the bio-physical profile ultrasounds(BPP). Which is when they just look to see baby that baby is not in distress. They get "points" for the following: is baby moving its whole body, moving a limb, practices breathing,  has a normal heartbeat, and has at least 10cm of amniotic fluid. And maybe one or two other things I cant remember.  My baby has passed everytime. It hasnt really interrupted my normal routine, except the itch and extra appointments. But I was still able to continue work without restrictions and whatnot. And being induced 4wks early, that was a shocker when we found out. Overall it's a managable condition though.  Could be worse...
