Timing contractions..

I should know this but, I don't. This is my 3rd baby and I never had to time contractions. I always just called and went in because someone always seemed to know what's best for me.. *eye roll* lol..

I was just curious, do you time contractions even if they don't hurt? Or do they need to hurt to time them?

My doc told me if more than 6 an hr that lying down and drinking a lot of water won't get rid of then u need to go in... If less than that or they stop then they are probably just Braxton hicks :) hope that helps!

Once they become consistent or start a pattern they need to be timed. If they are real contractions they will become closer together, last longer and become more painful. That's when I start timing.
