size of my belly

I am now 18 weeks and still don't look very pregnant. I've barely put on weight which isn't the issue. I am just wondering everyone says I'm having a boy because I'm so tiny. Did any other ftms have an experience like this or were some of you tiny with a girl also?

Thanks everyone. I'm not concerned with not really showing yet. I know as a ftm it is normal. I guess I'm more intrigued with the assumption that not showing means it's a boy. What were your experiences with that?

I'll be 17 weeks tomorrow and this is my 3rd pregnancy. I'm not showing just look like I had a nice lunch lol. I was also a little heave before my pregnancy so tht may have something to do with it! With my second son I didn't start showing until I was about 6 months! :/

Usually a first time mother takes longer to show because their abdominal muscles are tighter.

I am 20 weeks and I haven't gained a pound. In fact I have lost 10 lbs. My pants are a little tight but that's about it.

If it's your first it's less likely you will show until the end of your second trimestre or the beginning of the third. The baby usually starts getting fatter at the end of your pregnancy. Don't worry about showing yet, im at 37 weeks and I don't think he fits anymore. Just be patient.

I'm not tiny i was a bigger girl before I got prego but I'm 29 weeks tomorrow and I've only gained 7lbs so far and just now getting "the belly". They say you gain the most and get the biggest the last couple of months. I'm having a girl BTW. Good luck mamma.
