Venting About Bed Rest!!!

My dr put me on strict bed rest due to my blood pressure being high for numerous appointments and yet im still not dilated nor effaced...im freaking out because now im diagnosed with preeclampsia. I dont want my son to become distressed because of this, especially considering they are trying to take him out this Friday. No sex, no walking, NOTHING. So how am I gonna try to help my labor progress?? I just need some words of encouragement. I dont want to feel like a failure.

Thanks guys. You guys really give me hope. Its just one minute the drs tell u, they arent doing anything until 39 weeks then they realize what u been telling them all along...bed rest is not the answer to everything (my opinion) as I have all day to sit think and stress.

I wasn't allowed to do anything with my first two boys cause of high blood pressure last going off but once they induced me I was allowed to walk around labour and delivery with my monitors on to help thing along and keep my self sane as long as my pressures didn't go crazy and baby wasn't under stress. I was lucky once they broke my water and labour started my blood pressure stabilized both times.

Forgot to add im 36+6 and this is my second pregnancy. My first was 4 years ago and delivered a healthy baby girl at 38 weeks due to high blood pressure...was able to help progress labor with her though.
