Your baby's weight is perfectly fine. My daughter was born at 38weeks 3days and weighed 5.5 lbs and is healthy as can be.
She is still tiny for her age but had no problems thus far. Congrats on your baby*

Their measurements aren't always correct.  My first was a preemie, but still a decent size.  They did an ultrasound the day before delivery and said 5 lbs.  I delivered at 5 lb 10 oz. at 34 weeks.  I've heard of them being up to a pound off.  I wouldn't worry so much.  I'd be happy to have a smaller baby. I didn't tear with my firs, but did with my 2nd who was 3 days overdue and 7 lb 12 oz.

My second was 5.10 but she was nearly 2 feet tall and she came on her own at 38 wks. Now she's 6 and still tall and skinny

My babies measured that at 38 weeks. They gain a lot of weight in those last few weeks/days.
My first was 7lbs 8oz at birth(41 weeks). And my second was 8lbs 13oz (42 weeks).
Im sure baby is good!

Congratulations!

I here ya. I find in this pregnancy nobody comments on posts. Really frustrating.. My lil girl was born at 6lb 5oz. All through my pregnancy i was monitored as they said baby had iugr and her tummy measured small the whole time. At 38 wks i measured lik 5lb 10oz amd they said she was small but not bad. Was told if she was under the 5lb it would be considered seriously small. U still hav 2wks baby could be another 1lb by time arrives. Good luck x
