Probably means your baby is getting in the birthing position. .. I have been having the same problem. .. 2 days ago I was up all night with now sleep because I have pain in my lower back and hips and pelvic area. ..  I can't even go to the bathroom without being in pain... last night I went to the hospital and they gave me Tylenol for pain ... Tylenol didn't do anything. .. since I'm not dilating they sent me home... today I am still in horrible pain... doctors won't do anything for my pain and haven't slept in 2 days... they tell me my baby is putting pressure on my back and pelvic area and there is nothing they can do.

Probably that your baby is engaged in your pelvic area.
