I had chest congestion and mucus for weeks. The coughing would also cause pain.  I finally got put on zpack too because nothing over the counter was helping.  I would see your doctor.  In addition to Tylenol though I was told robitussin and plain sudafed were ok to take as well.  Maybe those will help you, unfortunately I needed more help than that!

I had a cough and nasal congestion for all most 2 months! It sucked so bad! The doctor told me to take children's mucinex and cough drops! The vicks vapor rub on my feet helped the best at night! Good luck! My nose is still running!

Go see your doctor and make sure you dont have an infection. A cough lasting two weeks needs to be checked by a doctor to figure out what's causing it. Good luck
