Thanks everyone! Helped a bunch :)
I think you should choose the name and spelling and thats it..i wouldnt let anyone else even have an opinion as its got nothing to do with anyone else. My family have had something negative to say about all my childrens names like "too common" "doesnt sound right" and some have even had the cheek to just blatantly say "no" as soon as i mention a name..it has nothing to do with no one but you. Ive fallen in love with a few names and told family members my husband doesnt like them and then to cause trouble theyve purposely called the baby throughout my pregnancy the name he doesnt like..which has caused a lot of arguments and ended up me not getting the name i like. This is baby no4 for me and im naming her evangeline, its safe to say "they" dont like it but i honestly couldnt care less
Keep in mind most school lists don't include middle names so gender may not be clear, but if our now overdue by one day baby is a girl she is getting a gender neutral name, so who cares about that if you raise her to be OK with it...I'd be concerned about the spelling (I hate when people spell my name wrong and there's about 5 ways to spell it( and nicknames...but again, you can raise her to be OK with those things too...
Go with the name you like i dont see anything wrong with it. I purposely have not told family members bc for some reason they think they have a say so in my childs name and had the nerve to tell me with my first what would work and what wouldnt so i learned lesson. Its bout to drive them crazy that i wont tell, but theyll just have to wait til this one is born.
My 2 1/2 year olds name is Olive! My grandparents think it is too harsh! We havent picked a name for the little one we are expecting yet! I learned you cant please everyone when it comes to names.
Schenner2, you're naming your daughter Olive and your grandparents are upset? ???? Olive is about the cutest name ever. That is an adorable name, everyone can spell, and everyone will know that's a girl's name. But there won't be a single other Olive in her classroom. Love it.
Makes me wanna Changing their Taytum
I think of potato chips, channing tatum, and this little girl whose parents called her "tator".
I think Taytum is adorable! Dont read too much into everyone's opinions. Go with your gut! My daughters name is Olive and i dont think my grandparents will ever get over it!
I think it's a great name. Easy to spell, easy to pronounce, and cute. With Charlene as the middle name teachers won't have any doubt the gender of your child.
I here Tatum more as a boys name ..but if u like it go for it
I think nobody will ever spell it "right" and you will go crazy about people getting it wrong until it's her problem in school and as an adult and then she will go crazy about it for the rest of her life. "Unique" spelling of names seems a terrible curse to place on a child, IMO.
I think Leigh is pretty for the middle name but hey it's your baby so whatever name you pick is up to you :-) good luck
It reminds me of channing tatum. I love Charlene :) if you like it that's all that matters!
