And again, I think we do the best we can during pregnancy.  It's not the time to diet.  Just eat healthy and try not to over do it.  :>)  But then down the road, if you aren't comfy or feeling like you need a change for your health, go for it!

It's hard gaining weight, isn't it?  I've never bought into the stereotypical body images our society has.  I gained weight after my two back to back pregnancies.  I didn't  mind.  However, I had some issues going on.  I had sore knees, I got out of breath easily, I had bad indigestion and heart burn and then the final thing, my blood pressure creeped up.   This was when I was not pregnant---  the after affects of pregnancy.  :>)  Toddlers like food I like . . .  cleaning up what they didn't eat wasn't helpful to my waste line.  Any way, I decided that I wanted to be healthier.  I was very worried about my blood pressure which then made me motivated to lose weight.  I did.  25 pounds.  My blood pressure is down to normal, my BMI is normal, my cholesterol is now normal, sugar normal, thyroid normal, etc. all from that weight loss. My knees are good and I have NO heartburn now.  Totally worth it.  It had NOTHING to do with how I looked.  I wasn't unhappy nor was my husband with my looks.  It was about these other things for me.

So, here is my point.  LOL  I'm not into how people look---  it's about how we feel.  If you think your health suffers or you have aches/pains due to weight----  it is worth making some lifestyle changes down the road (not during pregnancy other than to eat healthy and watch overall consumption).  I did nothing drastic---- although I did cut way back on sugar and processed food.  I eat a healthy meal in the morning that is protein based, eat a light snack, eat a healthy lunch eat an afternoon snack eat a dinner that is heavy on protein and vegetables eat an evening snack.  And I have one cheat day a week in which I eat whatever I want.  I'm never hungry.  I also exercise five days a week for a minimum of 45 minutes.  I make it a priority and get it done.  :>)  For me, this worked to take care of the after affect of pregnancy and the weight I had gained over the  years.  Doing it for my health was motivating to me.

But otherwise, people look great at all shapes and sizes and the most important thing is their health.  peace to all of you an good luck

Thank you for your responses. I don't think I have low self-esteem lol.  That's never been me. This is my 5th pregnancy and I have really packed on the pounds of the years. I just fear when I start working on my weight loss I won't be as appealing to my husband. He is into really extremely heavy women and that's never been me. I am planning havin my tube tied and burned. Just venting...hoping my attitude with pick up a little bit more. As I am due Dec 6th. I have been really stressed out here lately.

Yes, I'm now in the 270's & I feel uncomfortable and sometimes ashamed but honestly my doctor hasn't mentioned weight Once and I'm 37 weeks so that makes me feel a lot more confident. U just have low self esteem, fortunately this pregnancy I have a huge OBVIOUSLY pregnant belly so I do feel pretty good about that  (: other than that I just feel tired and in pain and ready to have my baby!

Don't worry about your weight. The world makes it look like everyone is supposed to be in this perfect skinny body. Who gives a darn what anyone else thinks. In the end it doesn't matter what any of us look like.
