I Also had low iron last time I was checked. I have been taking iron supplements as well as my prenatal vitamins (with iron) and trying to take them in accordance to things that will help my body absorb the iron properly. Vitamin c and iron go great together. My doctor said that baby is fine, he's getting what he needs from me, but I am the one suffering. Calcium works the sane way. Just do all you can to get iron through food and supplements. That's all you can do really. Try not to stress too much mama

Iron tends to be poorly absorbed by the body. Chelated forms of iron are more easily absorbed. Talk to your doc or pharmacist.

I'm anemic too, my doctor told me to take extra iron daily which i have for weeks now and I'm fine. Lots of women become anemic during pregnancy,  nothing to worry about, just take extra vitamins.
