I'm 37+4 weeks I have been GD & taking insulin as well & with 2 of my pregnancies & present & they all comes out very healthy. It's really hard to  tell the weight of the baby mostly is an estimate. My doc told me my last one would be 10 pounds but he was 8.3...so do my first one. Don't worry too much follow your dietician u be ok :))

Yes... it is totally possible... if your baby is that big they need to induce at 37/38 weeks or do a c-section... it is not uncommon for women with gestational diabetes to have 12/13 lb babies... I have gestational diabetes that I am fortunate enough to control with my diet but I am still freaking out about her being too big... my last ultrasound she was 2lbs and that was 27 weeks and she was normal sized... she started out measuring smaller so im hoping that its an advantage...  I'm 30wks 3days and my next growth scan is a week from Friday... hopefully she is measuring at where she needs to be
