It causes complications with you and baby that can be life threatening. with pre eclampsia your doctor will monitor you very closely. Also monitor your baby very closely. If your doctor sees a negative change in either you or baby, a c-section Usually takes place to ensure that you and baby will be okay. After labor the pre eclampsia goes away normally. Sometimes in more rare cases it doesn't but the doctor and nurses would monitor you very closely.
It can be, especially if it develops into full eclampsia.
Ive heard that in some rare cases yes it is deadly if not treaten, you should talk with your doctor and see if you can get any medication to control it
