Doctor to break waters

Has anyone ever had their waters broke to start labour. My doctor said she would bring me in on my due date to break my waters. I wanted a section and  they said they can try this way first. I can't get started any other way because I have had emergency section b4. Don't know wat to do? Section or let them break my waters.

I had my water broke with my first...kind of crazy to say but it felt GOOD ...alot of pressure released instantly and water just gushed like a hose...then a couple mins later contractions got intense...they made me suffer before my epidural! But I had a good experience GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!

I've had my water broke twice. No pain just felt a gush and like I was peeing on myself. It definitely started intense labor. Lol only you can decide if you want another csection, but I say why not try to avoid it? Keep it as an option so you're not disappointed but give labor a chance to do it's thing? Either way, baby will be here so it's really about what makes you feel calm and comfortable regarding your birthing experience! :-)

They don't wat to give me pitocin cause I have had emergency section. I don't have to go over cause my baby boy angel was born in Dec and I don't want to be in hospital in Dec. Doctor said they would break my waters and hope I go into labour. Don't know if I should just book in to get another section now..

My water broke on its own with my first 3 kids. I didn't feel any different when the Dr broke it.

I had the Dr break my water with my 4th and it wasn't painful at all. I just felt a big gush and they started pitocin and he was out 42 minutes later.

My mum never had her water break with any of her 4 babies, drs broke it for her. She said she she had great deliveries except for the last which ended in an emergency csection. Ive only had a csection so can't compare but I had a great experience with my delivery. Either way seems to have it pros and cons, i would probably ask my dr which one carries the least risks in your situation and go with that.
